Pros & Cons

Pros

- High-quality display: The 1.5K AMOLED screen delivers sharp visuals, rich colours and deep blacks.
- Adaptive refresh rate: 1–120Hz LTPO technology balances smoothness with power efficiency.
- Long battery life: The 6,000mAh battery is suitable for extended gaming, video streaming and daily use.
- Fast charging: 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging helps minimise downtime.
- Dedicated telephoto camera: The 50MP camera with 2× optical zoom is useful for portraits and close-up subjects.
- Good main camera: The 50MP Sony sensor with optical image stabilisation helps capture detailed photographs.
Cons
- No wireless charging: Unlike the OnePlus 13, the 13R does not support wireless charging.
- Average ultra-wide camera: The 8MP ultra-wide sensor is less detailed than the main camera.
- Fixed-focus selfie camera: The 16MP front camera lacks autofocus.
- No expandable storage: You cannot add a microSD card.
- USB 2.0 port: Data transfer is slower than on phones with USB 3.x connectivity.
- Limited water protection: IP65 protection is useful against dust and water jets, but is less comprehensive than IP68/IP69.
- No 3× or longer optical zoom: The dedicated telephoto camera offers 2× optical zoom, limiting long-range photography.
- Large size: The 6.78-inch display can be difficult to operate one-handed.
